Ryohei Kawanishi was born in Tottori, Japan 1987.
In 2011 he completed BA degree at Central Saint Martins, and in 2015 graduated from MFA Fashion Design and Society at Parsons.
Kawanishi’s works have exhibited widely, including Somerset house in London (20012); Mode biennale in Arnhem, Netherlands (2013); Artipelag in Sweden (2015); Biennale International Design Saint Etienne in France (2015); Trapholt in Denmark (2015).
He received Runner-up prize in Nova prize, shortlisted at International Emerging Fashion Talent Showcase 2012 and first scholar for Uniqlo- Tomodachi scholarship.
His graduate collection was featured by I-D magazine, Selfservice magazine, Vogue.com, Vogue Japan, hypebeast, fashionsnap.com.
He started menswear label called “LANDLORD” with U.S. military contract factory in 2015.
