Sisi Liu, a designer celebrated for her bold use of color and embellishment, ingenious combinations of texture, and extraordinary technical skills. Her uncanny talent and unique vision that blends the West and the East have been recognized by the fashion world, where her designs have won some international awards, such as “LVMH Prize for Graduate”.

Sisi is now the co-founder of a company, named Gude Design and Consulting LLC. Gude is a leading design consulting company that operates an online design platform and organizes arts and design events. Gude also offers a design training program for young, foreign designers and design students that has become highly popular in China soon after its launch.

My collection comes from my daily experience of making "DIY" (Do it yourself) packages. In this collection, I focus on handcraft techniques such as ribbon embroidery, yarn embroidery, felting, making 3D plastic flower and preserving dry real flowers. I practiced these skills, documented them, then enlarged them, beyond the usual sizes they are seen - Exploding! these traditional skills and magnifying their unique qualities and beauty. Nine times larger than the original was the largest, which is the reason the collection is called XXXXXXXXXL ( x9 times extra large ).
